Will have 2 pics tomorrow – or maybe today’s really late if I am not too tired.

Tomorrow I will also have a sneak peak at a new LEGO book coming from our friends at DK, due out later this month!
Stay tuned!

Day 279

There, in a dank alley on the sketchy side of the city, the mime made the handoff to the gorilla.

Day 278

Fed up with the inability to check his e-mail, Louie kicked back his chair, drew his sabre, and challenged the computer to a duel.

Day 276

Hank and Billy open the first package while past collectibles gazed eagerly at the new addition to their family.

Day 275

As Indy climbed toward the prize, the Red Ninja began his descent in defense.

(Yes, this is how my minifigs + accessories are organized.)

Day 274

The final candid street photo for this week is my mom. She had just gotten home from work and caught me snapping away with my camera. Hi mom!

Successful trip

Finished off my collection of Series 4 minifigs today, finally. It took 3 stores, but I finally hit the jackpot at Wal-Mart.

Thanks to you who posted a link to the bump key – it was very helpful. And I was able to feel out a few too. I also felt out a few Series 3 that were left over on the shelves as well.

So, I got my painter, and a mad scientist, 2 musketeers, and 2 more Vikings. And a few others as well. Now that I know where to find them I’m not as worried about missing any.

Thanks everyone for the help! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do. Expect to see them in the near future 😉

Day 273

This work crew was fixing a transformer that had blew out the night before during a storm. This was as close as they’d let me get.

Day 272

I talked with Martin for about 10 minutes after taking this photo of him on the bench with his laptop. He was waiting for the bus home.

Day 271

This poor lady had a bike accident. I snapped this photo before helping her up.
Priorities, right?

Day 270

While crossing Brick Boulevard, I managed to get this shot of renowned Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker out for a stroll.

Thank you!

I just wanted to take a minute and thank those of you that have donated to the website. It’s greatly appreciated, and hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, that money will be at Toys’R’Us this week to help me try and feel out some of the Series 4 Minifigs I didn’t get in my order from the LEGO website.

And thanks to everyone, always, for supporting this project simply by coming each day and leaving a comment!

Wee!

Day 268

This week will be candid street photography. I walked through the city streets of the local LEGO neighborhood, and the following week of photos is what I captured.

Here, I caught Uncle Ted and his bud Pete having a drink. Uncle Ted doesn’t like having his picture taken.

Day 267

Every Easter Vader would use the Force to hold the Trooper’s candy just out of reach.

Series 4 Minifigs

Since I suck at feeling the packages in stores (if there are any left), I have been leaving my fate up to the people at the LEGO distribution plant here in the US. I did fairly well with series 2. Series 3 was great. But my series 4 take left a little to be desired.
I ordered 16 from their website, which is the maximum I can order (at once anyway).
(Just a side note – I think it’s complete BS that I can’t choose the ones I want. That system has to stop.)

I got a few i wanted, but definitely didn’t get a bunch i really wanted.

I got:
garden gnome
rock star x2 (wanted this for the guitar)
surfer chick
Viking (yes! this one is awesome!)
frankenstein
hockey player
sailor x2
soccer guy
wolfman x3 (srsly, lego?)
radiation suit guy x2 (wanted this one)
ice skater

I really wanted the musketeer (2 or 3 of them), the painter, and the mad scientist as well.

Some people are really good at feeling the packages, but the only obvious one I could feel was the radioactive suit, because of it’s big square-ness. The rest – who knows. I guess I’ll go take a few chances at Toys’R’Us or something.

Hope you guys made out a little better than I did!
