In honor of reaching 1,000,000 views, all of the little folks that help make a LEGO a day possible have come out to thank you. You guys did it! You, the fans! Thank you! So, they’ve come together for a little contest for you.
———– *** CONTEST & RULES *** ———–
—Guess the number of minifigs in this photo. These are all the minifigs I own.
–HINT: You can try to count them, but many are blocked and hidden by others – good luck with that.
–HINT: It’s not as many as you might have thought I had, but it’s a pretty good amount.
—To enter, simply leave a comment below with your # guess.
—YOU MAY ONLY GUESS ONCE – so make it a good one.
(I can see where comments come from, so no shenanigans! Be fair to the large number of kids that visit here) –Look at the previous entries before you guess – if you duplicate a prior guess #, yours will be void. –All entries MUST have an contact email – or your entry will be void. If you win I need to be able to contact you.
–If no one guesses the exact number, the next closest either above or below, will be the winner.
For instance, if the exact # was 50, and two people guessed 47 and 52. The person who guessed 52 would win as it’s closer. This isn’t The Price Is Right, you can go over!! 🙂
In the event there is a tie for closest both above & below, then the person who entered FIRST will be the winner.
*** CONTEST IS OPEN UNTIL 6pm EST MONDAY MARCH 21, 2011 ***
!!! PRIZE !!! As stated, the winner will receive the yet to be published photobook chronicling the greatest hits of the two 365 projects.
Awesome work with the caption contest! It was a lot of fun reading through everything. 🙂
Last night, myself, my wife, and two of my closest friends looked through the nearly 200 submitted captions, and picked our favorites. I originally wanted to try to narrow it down to 5, but we just couldn’t, so we got it down to 7.
Voting will start NOW, and conclude Monday at 12:00pm (noon). I know some folks don’t check in on the weekend, so I want to give them a chance to vote as well!
One of the captions wouldn’t fit into the poll text field, so I copied it below the poll – to vote for it, choose the last choice on the poll!
Thank you everyone for participating!! Good luck to the finalists!! And remember, when we hit 1,000,000 views on the blog, get ready for another contest!
Patrick’s (option #7):
“Well” said the inspector, “ I’m gonna to go then! And I don’t need any of this. I don’t need this stuff, and I don’t need *you*. I don’t need anything. Except this, and that’s the only thing I need is *this*. I don’t need this or this. Just this magnifying glass… And this shovel – The magnifying glass and the shovel that’s all I need… And this yellow thing. – The magnifying glass, the shovel, and the yellow thing, and that’s all I need… And these gray pieces. – The magnifying glass, and these gray pieces, and the yellow thing, and the shovel… And this fishing pole. – The magnifying glass, this shovel, and the yellow thing, and the fishing pole, and that’s all *I* need. And that’s *all* I need too. I don’t need one other thing, not one… I need this. – The shovel and the glass door, and the yellow thing, and the gray pieces for sure. Well what are you looking at? What do you think I’m some kind of a jerk or something! – And this. That’s all I need.”
Winning Caption: After the dust settled, the Inspector finally understood what his mentor meant when he would say, “If you touch the evidence, the entire case may collapse.” by Brett A.
To enter, leave a comment below with your caption. There is no limit on entries. Come up with as many great, funny, clever, interesting captions as you can and post them all. You may comment to enter from today, until Friday the 18th.
Myself, my wife, and and 2 of my friends will chose the top 5 captions. Then, I will make a poll and you guys will choose your favorite! Voting will take place from 2/19 – 2/21. The caption with the most votes wins – duh!
