LEGO Harry Potter: Building the Magical World & CONTEST!!!!

On Monday, May 16, 2011 – the newest LEGO themed book from DK is here!

Just like the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, Building The Magical World dives into the sets and picks them apart brick by brick, leaving no detail behind. Flip through the pages to watch the evolution of the minifigures and the sets from simple Harry to the amazing Diagon Alley. As a bonus, your book comes with an exclusive Harry Potter minifig. Winner!

Keep scrolling for a look inside, details about the book, and the contest!

Obviously this is a must have for any LEGO and Harry Potter fan. I already have my review copy from the awesome people at DK, and it’s fantastic. I love my Star Wars one, and while I do enjoy HP, my wife is crazy about the books. She poured over this book for a good solid 3 hours the other night when we received it in the mail. While she doesn’t collect the LEGO sets, she absolutely loved seeing all the details and things LEGO has included from her favorite series of books. Each page is full of detailed information about the creation of the sets, the minifigs, and how they’ve changed over time – plus what’s exclusive to some sets, or changed from others. And it goes far beyond the figures. Each building, vehicle, castle, house, is all laid out in detail. It literally is information overload. The Star Wars Visual Dictionary, just like this book, should be called Encyclopedias.

Available direct from DK, or any book retailer on May 16!

Now, onto the contest!

Prizes? Yup. I’ll even tell you about them first!  That’s called a lure. But shhhhhh. Our secret. These prizes are being provided by the awesome folks at DK, so please send them an email to say thanks, or, well, buy their books! Ha. They are a fabulous company, publishing dozens of books I use every day in my classroom and many of you are familiar with, the Eyewitness Books series. Do you travel? Check out their Rough Guides books for detailed information about your destinations. Not to mention the completely awesome, amazing, best book ever: The LOST Encyclopedia! The list goes on. No, they aren’t paying me to say this. I just love their books. ANYWAY….

Grand Prize:
That’s right. A copy of the new book, AND the Hogwart’s Express LEGO set.

Five (5) runners up will all receive a copy of LEGO Harry Potter: Building the Magical World.

What to do?

Wait until Monday, release day, and I’ll tell you! (I’m not allowed to start the contest until then).
