Did you get your PowerBook fixed?

actually, no. i took it to the apple store, and it booted fine, and after doing a few diagnostics, they said nothing was wrong with it. i used it for a few hours saturday, sunday, and a little today, with no problems. I’m totally mind boggled. thing wouldn’t even boot before! and the awful sounds. gah. So, uh, i guess i’ll just keep using it until it’s second wind expires. after that, i am going to replace the HD myself – i looked it up and its simple.

oh, also, they said my laptop is “Vintage” and they don’t supply parts for it anymore anyway, so there isn’t anything Apple could do anyway.
